What a difference a nice, loose costume makes.  We did a Star Wars theme this year in the garage and had a great time.  My friends love Star Wars and helped get everything together. Jenny (Queen Amidala) painted all the murals, made a few Jawas and build the R5 droid out of an old shop vac!  The poor guy out in front of the house didn't have quite as much fun as we did though.  Yeah, we had a bit of a spider problem that year.
